Professional Biography
Andrew Peters is a Partner at YA Group with nearly 25 years of experience in the construction and restoration industries. He is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, remediation, and environmental projects for both government and private‑sector clients in the United States and abroad. Andrew is regularly engaged on high‑profile and complex losses involving commercial, industrial, hospitality, medical, manufacturing, and multifamily properties, and he frequently serves as an appraiser and umpire while also providing litigation support.
Andrew has extensive experience managing large‑scale construction and restoration efforts across a wide range of loss scenarios. Prior to joining YA Group, he worked as a senior estimator, senior project manager, and construction manager for a leading restoration contractor. He also served as an independent consultant on the Hurricane Sandy loss at the World Trade Center, contributing to one of the most significant restoration efforts following the event.
Andrew is a highly effective manager with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with industry professionals. His expertise includes team and personnel management, catastrophic loss management, cost estimating, loss documentation, invoice review, mitigation and restoration oversight, and dispute resolution.
