Professional Biography
Timothy Allison is a Senior Managing Engineer at YA Group with more than 20 years of experience as a practicing Professional Engineer, including more than 15 years in forensic investigations. His work encompasses building failures and damage, construction defects, design deficiencies, code review, litigation support, catastrophe response, and storm damage assessments. Notable assignments have included flood investigations along the Mississippi River and its tributaries (2019), flood and wind investigations related to Hurricane Harvey (2017) and Hurricane Helene (2024), the “Snowmageddon” event in the Northeast U.S. (2015), vehicle impacts to buildings, warehouses, and county bridges, fire damage assessments, and building evaluations following tornado events in Missouri (2025).
Timothy has extensive experience in roof specification and design for residential and commercial properties, quality assurance and oversight during roof installations, and structural design and design support for custom residential buildings, neighborhood developments, apartments, condominiums, and hotels.
