Mike Mosier is a Partner at YA Group with 40 years of construction, claim, and building consulting experience. He has managed numerous large losses from $1M to $200M in value on all building classifications, including residential, commercial, industrial, and civic properties. His experience includes single-family and multi-family housing, office and residential high-rises, large and small hotels and resorts, hospitals, medical clinics, dental clinics, schools and universities, manufacturing, church buildings, governmental buildings, restaurants, historic structures, and retail businesses. Mike has managed losses across the US and beyond, with locations ranging from the Hawaiian Islands to Tokyo, Japan, to New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Texas, the Gulf Coast, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.
He is experienced in damage caused by water, fire, flood, hurricane, wildfire, hail, wind, earthquake, and biohazards, involving losses to structures, contents, agriculture, and income. These assignments required detailed assessment, itemization of damage, cost estimates, code analysis, coordination with contractors and consultants, and negotiation of a fair and reasonable market-value resolution.
Mike also provides unbiased expert appraisal and umpire services for the resolution of complex claims. He has served as a manager and adjuster for a major carrier. He has also served as a construction manager, estimator, and consultant for new and renovation projects that included residential, multi-family, commercial, and park facilities valued at up to $25M. He has extensive experience in construction management, estimating, purchasing, and project logistics.
