Professional Biography
Michael Hennessy is a Senior Project Manager and licensed professional engineer at YA Group with extensive experience in the structural design of wood, masonry, and steel structures. His project work encompasses single and multi-family residences, light commercial structures, non-building structures such as site walls, light poles, and solar canopies, as well as alterations and additions to existing residential and light commercial structures.
Michael has extensive experience in forensic engineering, with expertise spanning construction defects, foundation and soil movement, building code compliance, and repair and reconstruction — including the management and production of construction repair documents for building permit submittal. His work also encompasses building envelope issues and hail, wind, and storm damage assessments for both residential and commercial structures.
As a licensed small unmanned aircraft systems remote pilot, Michael has conducted numerous drone surveys documenting residential and commercial roof surfaces, adding a valuable field assessment capability to his forensic and investigative practice.
