Mark Hopkins is a licensed professional engineer and architect with over 30 years of experience in designing, performing, and analyzing building envelope systems, roofing, and waterproofing materials. His extensive background spans real-world engineering design, project management, operations, and construction. His diverse portfolio includes historical, residential, educational, commercial, retail, entertainment, heavy-industrial, municipal, and utility services projects.

A seasoned negotiator, Mark has served as a lead expert in numerous complex construction cases, providing mediation, deposition, and trial testimony. He offers specialized expert services in commercial and residential roofing systems, including built-up, metal, shake, green, and fluid-applied roofing. His expertise also extends to building envelope cladding systems, such as EIFS, cement plaster stucco, metal panels, rain screens, windows, storefronts, curtain walls, masonry, and fiber cement siding applications. Additionally, he is highly skilled in analyzing and designing coating and paint systems, concrete and foundation installations, stormwater management, system design, and a wide range of other construction systems, including flooring, waterproofing, and coastal structures.

Mark provides comprehensive construction defect litigation support, including field inspections, defect documentation, code review, as-built condition analysis, cost estimating, repair scope development, and financial analysis. He has extensive experience evaluating the standard of care for architects and engineers and allocating responsibility for developers and subcontractors in construction disputes.
