David Spear is a National Account Executive at YA Group with more than 20 years of experience in insurance, risk management, and building consulting. In his role, David is responsible for supporting strategic partnerships and driving client growth initiatives nationwide, working closely with insurers, risk managers, brokers, and property owners to align YA Group’s consulting services with evolving market needs.
David has extensive experience in insurance leadership and client relationship management, having held senior roles with several of the largest insurance carriers and brokerage firms in the industry prior to joining YA Group. His background includes designing, negotiating, underwriting, and servicing complex insurance programs across a wide range of sectors, giving him a practical understanding of both complex risk structures and long‑term client engagement.
David’s industry experience is further strengthened by his hands‑on work in building consulting, which he developed after joining YA Group in 2017 as a Regional Consultant. In that role, he supported catastrophe claims and consulting efforts across Florida and North Carolina. His combined expertise in insurance, loss consulting, and strategic account management allows him to specialize in building collaborative, transparent partnerships that support long‑term success for clients and stakeholders.
