Daniel Sowell is a Senior Project Manager at YA Group with 15 years of experience focused on the technical and aesthetic performance of building enclosures. His responsibilities include leading enclosure design evaluations, overseeing performance assessments, and managing complex rehabilitation projects involving jurisdictional and historic preservation approvals. Daniel’s background includes work on thermal and structural performance testing of fenestration systems and comprehensive involvement in all phases of enclosure design, analysis, and construction.
Daniel has extensive experience performing enclosure failure and performance investigations for residential and commercial buildings. Using practical field expertise paired with advanced technology, he has conducted numerous assessments on behalf of owners and contractors. In addition to standard quantitative investigation tools, he incorporates thermography, LiDAR scanning, and thermal and hygrothermal modeling to support root-cause analysis and evaluate the extent of observed conditions.
