Dan Larson is a Senior Regional Consultant at YA Group with more than 34 years of surety bond claims handling experience, complemented by a background in accounting, finance, and management across the construction and transportation industries. Prior to joining YA Group in 2023, Dan served as Vice President at Guardian Group, Inc., where his responsibilities included bond claim evaluation and settlement, trust account administration, performance bond default investigations and settlements, contract relet, bid procurement, and project administration.

Dan has extensive experience in financial evaluations, subcontractor investigation, forensic accounting, delay and disruption claim analysis, and litigation support, having provided surety bond claims analysis across a wide range of project types.

Dan began his career at a small commuter airline, where he oversaw the company’s reorganization from a passenger to a freight operation, managing responsibilities ranging from financial analysis and collections to supervision of freight operations — a foundation that established his broad financial and operational expertise.
