Professional Biography
Connor Kapisak is a Regional Consultant at YA Group with extensive experience specializing in estimating and claim cost analysis for complex property, casualty, and specialty losses. In his role, Connor supports the evaluation of large and complex losses by providing expertise in scope development, damage assessment, mitigation, restoration, building reconstruction, and cost estimating. He has overseen all phases of property insurance claims ranging from $1 million to $140 million across a wide variety of loss types and asset classes.
Connor has extensive experience overseeing complex property insurance claims involving hurricane, water, wildfire, wind, freeze, flood, smoke, vandalism/theft, MEP, hail, construction defect, and builder’s risk losses. His work has spanned five‑star all‑inclusive resorts, commercial and residential high‑rises, hospitals, hotels, military bases, schools, universities, healthcare facilities, senior living communities, industrial facilities, multi‑family apartments, condominium complexes, high‑end custom residences, restaurants, movie theaters, and municipalities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Connor has also consulted on significant catastrophe events, including Hurricanes Fiona, Ian, Beryl, Debby, Helene, and Milton, as well as the Maui and Los Angeles wildfires.
In addition, Connor brings global insurance industry experience from his role as a broker in the London Market, where he worked as part of the Worldwide Property Claims Team at Amwins Global Risks handling open market, D&F, and binder claims. His areas of specialization include invoice analysis, reporting, project management, negotiation, total insurable value (TIV) valuations, aerial drone imagery, scheduling, Xactimate, and on‑site project monitoring. Connor’s diverse background in construction management, property insurance, business, and technology enables him to effectively serve YA Group’s clients on complex and high‑value loss engagements.
