Zach Smith is a Senior Regional Equipment Consultant at YA Group with 10 years of engineering experience in automotive validation, testing, failure analysis, and field quality investigation. In this role, Zach evaluates mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical equipment, documents equipment condition and reported damage, and develops evidence-based technical findings to support equipment loss evaluations.
Zach has extensive experience providing test engineering support for design verification, product validation, and platform development of electromechanical brake boosters and electromechanical brake calipers, including field inspections, root-cause analysis, and test equipment evaluation. Prior to joining YA Group, he applied this expertise across both manufacturing and automotive industries, bringing practical engineering insight to complex equipment consultations.
Zach’s technical background includes environmental and corrosion testing, product instrumentation and testing, and the design and configuration of data acquisition systems. He also brings hands-on experience assembling, configuring, and troubleshooting custom computer systems.
