Professional Biography
Stephan DiBiase is a Senior Managing Accident Reconstructionist at YA Group with more than 20 years of professional experience in automotive engineering and forensic accident reconstruction. He is a mechanical engineer responsible for evaluating complex collision events, analyzing vehicle performance and electronic data, and providing expert opinions in support of litigation. Stephan is regularly retained to assess collision causation and deliver deposition and trial testimony.
Stephan has extensive experience in automotive engineering and forensic accident reconstruction across a wide range of vehicle types and collision scenarios. Prior to his forensic work, he was engaged in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) research and development with Benteler, BMW, Ford, Visteon, General Motors, Jaguar, and Land Rover, where he focused on chassis systems, vehicle dynamics, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), and advanced simulation.
Stephan’s industry experience includes forensic evaluations involving passenger vehicles, heavy trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, micromobility devices, and pedestrian collisions. He is qualified as an expert in accident reconstruction and forensic mechanical engineering in California state court. His technical specialization and forensic expertise enable him to support complex investigations and deliver clear, defensible opinions in litigation settings.
