Professional Biography
David Breitigam is a Partner at YA Group with more than 33 years of experience in occupational safety and industrial hygiene, spanning technical, leadership, and executive-level roles. His work encompasses a wide range of sectors including refining, chemicals, manufacturing, and construction. David brings additional depth to his practice through his management of a residential investment portfolio, including property management, contractor oversight, and residential renovation and construction.
David has extensive experience in hazard recognition and control across physical hazards such as fall, electrical, mechanical, and temperature risks; chemical hazards including asbestos, lead, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide; and biological hazards such as mold, bacteria, and bodily fluids. His expertise also covers job hazard analyses, indoor air quality, OSHA and ANSI safety and health standards, performance and change management, and OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program.
David’s combined industry and consulting background positions him to assist clients with risk identification and mitigation, delivering cost-effective solutions within the environmental, health, and safety realm.
