YA specializes in the complex reconstruction of crashes involving passenger cars, heavy trucks and buses, motorcycles, pedestrians, and all combinations of these and other vehicles. Our experts leverage extensive knowledge of light and heavy vehicle dynamics, braking and suspension, and steering systems resulting from decades of industry experience and specialized training in vehicle design and accident reconstructions.
For light vehicles such as passenger cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, and other personal mobility vehicles, we conduct full mechanical inspections to evaluate the vehicle condition post-crash capturing the vehicles with 3D laser, LiDAR and/or photogrammetric scanning tools to provide precise models of crush profiles, ensuring accurate damage assessments. We utilize the latest Electronic Data Retrieval (EDR) software and equipment to extract event data from airbag modules and other safety systems in supported vehicles.
Our expertise in heavy trucks and air brake systems allows us to determine a true evaluation of the vehicles’ condition both before and after the incident. For heavy vehicles such as semi-trucks and buses, we conduct full-scale brake and mechanical system inspections, teardowns, failure investigations, and EDR data downloads of Engine Control Modules (ECM) and other safety systems. We document vehicles with 3D laser, LiDAR and/or photogrammetric scanning tools ensuring accurate damage assessment.
YA Group utilizes an array of advanced 3D scanning and drone scanning technology as a crucial component of our accident reconstruction services. Equipped with a fleet of Leica, Faro scanners, and drones, we capture detailed 360° scans of accident sites, recording every detail from pavement gouges to overhead utility wires. This comprehensive approach ensures we capture as much evidence as is available to be documented to support our analysis and comparison to scene photographs and videos.
Our capabilities do not end with our ability to capture data, but rather our strength is in our ability to analyze and interpret the data we collect. We use the latest simulation programs such as PC-Crash, HVE and Virtual Crash as part of our analysis process when appropriate. Our team’s extensive experience and training ensures precise analysis and comprehensive insights into light and heavy vehicle accidents, supporting accurate and reliable conclusions for legal cases, insurance claims, and safety reviews.
