Professional Biography
Kyle Wickins is a Consultant at YA Group with more than 15 years of experience as an interdisciplinary structural and civil consulting engineer, providing forensic assessments, technical reports, and advisory services to insurers, legal teams, and private clients. At YA Group, Kyle leads investigations and delivers reports on a wide range of issues across the built environment.
Kyle has consulting experience in structural engineering design and assessments of common building material (concrete, masonry, timber and steel), building and infrastructure damage surveys, material testing reviews and seismic assessments. He has additional experience in civil engineering design and investigations of stormwater management using sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), surface water and foul sewer drainage systems, water reuse and treatment strategies and roads. He has designed and assessed heritage buildings, luxury residential houses, medium-rise developments, industrial buildings, hospitals and school campuses. This includes their associated civil engineering infrastructure. He also has catastrophic hurricane event experience.
Kyle also brings a research background in sustainable construction practices and material reuse, and has lectured part-time for seven years, co-developing a capstone engineering course focused on integrating sustainability into design. His project experience spans international markets including Australia, Bahrain, Namibia, Sierra Leone, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
