Professional Biography
Daniel Devine is a Partner at YA Group with a wide-ranging experience in forensic accounting, investigative analysis, and litigation support. A Certified Public Accountant, he provides expert testimony in State District Court and on behalf of insurers and other interested parties. At YA Group, Daniel is responsible for evaluating complex damages, including property damage, business interruption, in‑site and out‑of‑site inventory losses, Jeweler’s Block claims, and matters involving employee malfeasance. He supports major property insurance carriers, law firms, and corporations with clear, detailed financial analyses.
Daniel has extensive experience managing large‑scale business interruption and complex loss engagements across diverse industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, financial services, retail, restaurants, healthcare, real estate, auto dealerships, jewelry manufacturing and wholesale, and rental properties. His background includes analyzing losses associated with the World Trade Center catastrophe and significant U.S. and Caribbean hurricane events. He has also handled matters involving fraud, cyber losses, cigarette tax stamps and wholesalers, lost future earnings, wrongful death, breach of contract, business valuation, excess liability, product liability self‑insured retention, subrogation, corporate internal investigations, and liability claim payment projections.
In addition to his investigative and damages analysis work, Daniel has experience supporting counsel during Examinations Under Oath, Examinations Before Trial, and interrogatories. Prior to forming LFI Forensic Accounting Consultants, he served as a Partner at Hagen, Streiff, Newton & Oshiro and as a Director at RGL Forensics, and also worked with MDD Forensics, serving insurance and legal industry clients.
