Professional Biography
Chris Gilbert is a Regional Consultant at YA Group with more than 20 years of experience spanning graphic design, construction, restoration, and executive operations. He began his career in 2003 while attending the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he founded a graphic design and advertising firm that grew over the following decade to support clients across multiple states, representing both local and national brands.
Chris has extensive experience in residential and commercial construction and restoration, having transitioned into the industry in 2012 with a regional restoration and general contracting company in San Antonio. There he specialized in residential mitigation and reconstruction services, developing broad operational expertise with a strong emphasis on project management and construction cost estimating. In 2017, he joined Blackmon Mooring, one of the nation’s largest restoration firms, where he led reconstruction operations throughout the South Texas region, overseeing teams of estimators, project managers, and construction crews across a diverse portfolio including luxury residences, multifamily developments, high-rise hotels, churches, K–12 schools, universities, and commercial facilities.
In 2023, Chris joined a startup homebuilding company in the Dallas market specializing in high-end modular homes, serving first as Director of Construction and later as Chief Operating Officer, managing all aspects of company operations. He brings this broad foundation in construction, operations, and client services to his consulting work at YA Group.
