Professional Biography

Philip Casso is a mechanical engineer with experience in forensic engineering and product testing. He is a licensed professional engineer in 29 states across the United States.

Philip’s exposure to a wide range of product failures sparked his interest in forensic engineering and the underlying causes of everyday product malfunctions. His forensic investigations span residential, commercial, industrial, educational, and municipal settings. He also has experience in catastrophe response, including hurricanes, tornadoes, derechos, floods, fires, explosions, and other severe events.

His background includes extensive work in destructive testing of mechanical, electrical, and building products, where he designed and executed tests to meet national and international safety standards. He was part of a pioneering team that led a new branch of destructive testing focused on electric vehicles and energy systems.
