Biography

Jud Wooddy, Esq. is the Director of LCP Business Development with extensive experience in law and corporate leadership. Jud is a valued member of YA Group, bringing a strong background in legal practice and business strategy.

He is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia and is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Hawaii Bar, and District of Columbia Bar. He also holds memberships with the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Federal Circuit, as well as the United States District Courts for South Carolina and Hawaii.

Jud earned his BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992 and his JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law. His career began in private practice in Charleston, SC, where he spent 13 years primarily on the defense and corporate side. He later served as General Counsel and then Division President for an international manufacturing company for seven years. Most recently, Jud was the Managing Partner of a West Coast-based firm’s Honolulu, HI office.

Outside of work, Jud is an avid competitive golfer and a licensed pilot.
