Senior Managing Accident Reconstructionist

Biography

Jamie Overton is a Senior Managing Accident Reconstructionist with over 23 years of experience. He is a key member of YA Group’s Accident Reconstruction team.

Jamie specializes in traffic crash investigation, reconstruction, and analysis, as well as fleet safety compliance, with a particular focus on commercial vehicle crashes and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

He has extensive experience downloading and analyzing advanced digital forensics data from tractor-trailer and automobile electronic data recorders (ECM, EDR, SDM, ACM, CDR), video event data recorders (DriveCam, SmartDrive), heavy truck telematics systems (Qualcomm, PeopleNet), Garmin and other GPS-based devices, ABS systems (Bendix, Wabco), and vehicle infotainment systems. Jamie is a Berla Certified Vehicle System Forensic Examiner and a Certified Vehicle System Forensic Technician.

Additionally, Jamie has significant expertise inspecting and documenting braking systems on tractor-trailers and heavy trucks to determine existing braking capability and apply that analysis to specific collision scenarios.
