Biography

DR. JAMES SCHRODER joined YOUNG & Associates in 2018 as a Senior Consultant. Dr. Schroder maintained a private practice from 1995-2014 and helped lead the profession as a continuing education course instructor. He has extensive experience in Real Estate and Project Management, including responsibility for estimates, permits, material take-off, procurement, financial management, control of subcontractors and vendors, schedules, overview of daily site activities, material selections, timeline, change orders and specs and maintaining a real estate license for many years. In 2017, he entered the field of Environmental Science and Industrial Hygiene Consulting and quickly became a team leader on Hurricane impacted losses in Florida, Texas & North Carolina. He served as the chief microbial & moisture remediation inspector for multi-million dollar hotel and airport losses in St. Thomas, USVI. He performed Asset Tracking, Microbial and Moisture Assessment, Indoor Air Quality and Industrial Hygiene consulting for Government, Military, Commercial, Hotel & Residential losses. He is certified in HAZWOPER, Applied Structural Drying, Water Restoration Technician, & Commercial Drying Specialist. He also completed the 100-hour Elements of Industrial Hygiene course by AIHA.
