Biography
Tyson holds a professional engineering licenses in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, South Carolina, Arkansas, and the United States Virgin Islands. He performs all aspects of consulting, which include: Inspections, Investigations, engineering, project management, client development, and vendor management. Tyson currently performs structural and forensic analysis of moderate to large failures throughout the country. He is a highly driven to succeed and overcome obstacles as they come along. Tyson is also highly invested in developing the next generation of engineers rising through the ranks.

- Lead Design Team- Two Construction Docks and 24 Mooring Dolphins | Monaca, PA | Lead a design team, which designed a RORO (Roll-on Roll-off) dock facility and a LOLO (Lift-on Lift-off) dock along with 24 mooring and berthing dolphins. These dock facilities are to be used to unload modular units and larger single-unit cargo units for the construction of a future petrochemical | $30 M
- Review and Pricing of Repairs to Rice University Football Stadium | Houston, TX | Performed an assessment of the levels of distress in a historic football stadium within the Houston area. Issued a report evaluating the condition of the stadium and providing repair quantities for restoration, and potential pricing for those quantities
- Structural Restoration of a 13-Story Chase Bank Building | Lafayette, LA | Issued repair drawings and specifications for a 30 year old building with precast aggregate panels. Epoxy mortars and epoxy injection were used to used to repair much of the problems to the outside of the building. Structural panels was removed and replaced.
- Structural Team Lead | Reno, NV | Explosion | Structural inspection and restoration to two 9-story dorm buildings and cafeteria | $100 M
- Program/Project Management Port of Houston Authority | Houston, TX | Met on a regular basis with Project Management team and priced various projects at the Port of Houston. Tyson would develop scope, price, and schedule and manage design teams (internal) or consultants (external) in completing these task orders. | $30,000 - $4M
- Retrofit of the Roof at Cruise Terminal at Bayport | Houston, TX | Upgrading structural components and design for new roof connections at New Cruise Terminal for Port of Houston | $1 M
- Annual Structural Review of Minute Maid Stadium | Houston, TX | Performed annual structural reviews of a new baseball stadium located in Houston, Texas. These reviews consisted of a review of maintenance-related issues along with updating our observations on some ongoing issues observed within the building. These were required prior to each baseball season.
- Structural Team Lead | Plant, TX | Explosion | Lead structural team for concrete and building restoration as a result of explosion | $40 M
- Retrofit of the Transit Shed Roof at Jacintoport Terminal | Houston, TX | Hurricane | A portion of the roof was torn off at Jacintoport Terminal as a result from high winds caused by Hurricane Ike. I developed the most cost effect design and specifications to meet the updated windloads on the building | $3 M
- Flood Gate and Flood Wall Management Plan-City of Houston | Houston, TX | Managed and engineered the installation of floodgates, submarine doors, and flood walls throughout downtown Houston to protect underground parking garages and facilities from flooding. This project lasted over two years.
- Rehabilitation of Wharf No. 2 at Barbours Cut Terminal | Houston, TX | This work involves the structural and electrical upgrading of a 1000-foot long section of wharf. Working under the Program Manager, Tyson interfaced with the client and sub consultants, provided sealed drawings for: dredging, secured access, and general notes. | $20 M

- Structural Repair of Wharf 19 and 20 in Turning Basin | Upon discovery of deterioration beneath Wharf 20 in the Turning Basin, I worked with Operations to shutdown the wharf. We are now in the process of implementing a repair to the fender and structural deterioration beneath the wharf | $4-5M
