Biography

With over seven years of experience within the construction industry, Ted Thrower has been involved in providing architectural services to numerous projects across the UK. Throughout his time as an Architect, Ted has produced crucial drawings and documents at a feasibility level, assessing site viability, potential site constraints, and buildability of clients’ ambitions. He has worked at the pre-planning and planning stages to deliver projects that were coordinated with a large multi-disciplinary design team, the local planning authority, design review panel committees, and public consultation. Furthermore, Ted has seen projects all the way to tender and consequent construction, providing technical advice and drawings to contractors and consultants during this time.

Responsible for leading large- and small-scale projects, Ted has collaborated with a range of project managers, developers, structural engineers, MEP engineers, geotechnical engineers, and many more to meet the clients’ aspirations. These projects ranged across various sectors, including but not limited to Residential, Commercial, Education, and, most recently on Student Accommodation (Sui Generis).

During this time, he has gained a vast knowledge of national and local policies that apply to new developments in the UK, as well as an understanding of UK building regulations and procurement processes used within the industry.
