Biography

Rodney Ray’s professional journey began as the son and grandson of two lifelong residential and commercial ground-up construction contractors. He attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana and graduated Cum-Laude with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 1991.

After employment providing economic services to people in need, Rodney realized his true career aspirations were in the construction & restoration industry. With a solid foundation in the intricacies of construction projects, understanding legal documents, and working with people who had incurred hardships, he immersed himself in the insurance restoration field. Working hands-on as a project manager, he obtained certifications and knowledge related to construction codes, drying, mold, and other related areas.

In 2004, Rodney was introduced to large-loss construction consulting at EGP and Associates. As a construction consultant, he honed his skills in assessing damages to structures, mitigation audits, docks and marinas, builders’ risk, copper theft, ordinance, or law requirements. This included negotiating with contractors and advocating for fair and impartial agreed costs for restoring physical damage and mitigation services interests. He also had the opportunity to work on projects requiring interpreting and applying the construction and floodplain management codes.

In April 2008, Rodney started working for IN-Line Consulting LLC. IN-Line provided a vast opportunity to continue all areas of professional growth and developed the skills required for more specialized areas of consulting (construction defect, agricultural losses, earth movement, retaining walls, seawalls, more in-depth knowledge of marina losses related to wind vs. wave action losses, large manufacturing plants, appraisal, umpire services, etc.
