Biography

Ms. Polson has worked in the Indoor Air Quality division, focusing on initial sampling/surveying, monitoring, and clearances in the state of Hawaii. Along with being subjected to various field assessments, Ms. Polson was also responsible for interpreting laboratory analysis, report writing, scheduling incoming assessments from clients, updating internal spreadsheets, and maintaining client relationships. Ms. Polson is able and willing to deploy at any time for any job request, including Catastrophe work.

Ms. Polson’s technical expertise includes Hazardous Material Sampling, Indoor Air Quality assessments, and intro to Soil Sampling.

  • Lahaina Wildfire Loss | Maui, Hawaii | Asbestos Bulk Sampling | Environmental Scientist: Samples for asbestos in burnt zones of residential properties throughout Lahaina. Had the Marine Corps of Engineers watch as we surveyed.
  • Lahaina Cannery Mall | Maui, Hawaii | CBP and Post CBP Clearance | Environmental Scientist: Initial combustion by-product inspection of entire interior and exterior of the mall and post HVAC and interior CBP survey.
  • University Of Hawaii | Manoa Campus | HAZMAT | Environmental Scientist: Hazardous material survey at Keller Hall for asbestos, lead, and arsenic for new renovations and upgrades. Initial moisture assessment and post remedial verifications for Index Builders Inc. at Crawford Hall and the Richardson School of Law.
  • Dole Plantation | Wahiawa, Hawaii | HAZMAT | Environmental Scientist: Hazardous material survey of Well #24, Well #26, and electrical equipment structures for future replacement plans.
  • Hilton Hawaiian Village | Waikiki, Hawaii | Air Monitoring | Environmental Scientist: Asbestos air monitoring of the exterior roof for AEI Consultants. Entire Tapa tower roof to be completely abated for new design.
  • Kohala High School and Elementary School | Big Island | Air Monitoring | Environmental Scientist: Lead air monitoring of the entire campus of Kohala High School and Kohala Elementary School for new fire alarm system installment. Provided visual clearance.
  • Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam | Honolulu, Hawaii | Air Monitoring and Clearance | Environmental Scientist: Asbestos and Lead air monitoring of Building #278. Exterior loose and flaky paint to be abated along with two main fire escape staircases to be removed and replaced for maintenance due to it being a historic building.
  • American Saving Building | Honolulu, Hawaii | Mold Assessment | Environmental Scientist: Mold and moisture investigations and post remedial verifications conducted at several locations throughout the State of Hawaii.
