Biography

Jeremy Jones joined Young & Associates in 2022. As Director of Litigation Support Services, Mr. Jones’ primary goal is to ensure that Young and Associates provides clients with quality expert services at every step of the litigation process. In pursuit of that goal, he has various responsibilities, including recruitment, training, business development, and strategic growth.

Before joining Young & Associates, Mr. Jones was an attorney with Cozen O’Connor for fourteen years, ultimately serving as the vice chair, office managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office. As a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, his practice focused primarily on investigating and litigating catastrophic claims arising from product defects, negligent construction, and professional malpractice. The investigative skills Mr. Jones relied upon in his litigation practice were developed prior to Cozen O’Connor during his various endeavors. He served four years with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, 3/504th Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Bragg, N.C. While attending Western Carolina University, he served four years with the North Carolina National Guard’s 210th Military Police Company. Following law school, Mr. Jones joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was assigned to FBI HQ in Washington, D.C. A portion of his time with the FBI was in the Criminal Investigative Division’s Office of Assistant Director, which was responsible for oversight and strategic planning of investigations involving financial crimes, public corruption, organized crime, civil rights violations, and violent crimes. The balance of his time with the FBI was served in the Critical Incident Response Group’s Crisis Negotiation Unit, which is responsible for hostage negotiations when an American citizen is kidnapped internationally.
