Biography

Dwayne Davis joined YOUNG & Associates in 2022 as a Fire Consultant. Dwayne is an experienced investigator with a demonstrated history in the field of fire and explosion forensics. Dwayne has the training, expertise, and experience to lead complex investigations, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide reliable testimony at deposition and trial. Dwayne spent more than 17 years as a certified fire investigator with the Charlotte Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Task Force. In addition to his investigative duties, from 2006 to 2011, Dwayne was an Accelerant Detection Canine Handler for the Task Force. Dwayne started his career as a Firefighter/EMT in Albemarle, NC, continuing his family’s history of service to the fire department. Prior to joining the Charlotte Fire Department, Dwayne served as the Assistant Fire Marshal for Stanly County, NC and later as the Assistant Fire Marshal for Harrisburg, NC. In addition to being a fire investigator, Dwayne has owned and operated a fire extinguisher sales and service company since 2014, which allows him to provide additional services as a standard of care consultant within that field.
