Biography

David Zelm is a regional consultant at YA Group, where he leads the drone and thermal imaging services team. He established all operating procedures, training, and deliverables for the division, and flies drones in conjunction with client assessments and investigations.

David’s high-flying career began with what he thought would be a focus on agriculture, specializing in crop health analysis and yield estimates. He was then recruited to conduct wind turbine inspections via drone. He now conducts regular inspections on insurance losses, using infrared and drone technology to help show unique and otherwise impossible images following different catastrophes.
