Biography

David, or “Bo” as he is known to his friends and family, started life as an “Army Brat” before his parents settled in rural Ohio. Growing up near an Amish community, he became interested in construction at a young age watching a barn raising on a neighboring farm. His senior year in high school, he received an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point. In 1992, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Human Factors Engineering (Ergonomics). David was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he served for ten years and gained experience in management of both small- and large-scale construction projects. Upon leaving the military, he worked as a project manager and site engineer for a development firm in central Ohio. Since 2007, David specialized in managing and conducting investigations into property damage, valuation of loss, and code application as well as providing remediation support.
