Professional Biography
Dave Schelling has over 25 years of experience in commercial and residential construction/building. Dave is involved in inspecting, assessing, estimating, project management, on-site project monitoring, and auditing collapse, fire, water, flood, wind, hail, and renewable energy damage claims of various sizes and has consulted on large complex insurance losses.
As a senior project manager, he managed numerous projects with a wide scope of work, including large hotel brand and high-end hotel conversions and complete renovations to lobby, ballroom, restaurants, back-of-house, public areas, ADA upgrades, and guest rooms. Dave was the senior estimator/purchasing agent for a large, high-end custom home developer and builder, where he was responsible for estimating, purchasing, coordinating, and constructing several highly specialized custom homes with budgets from $2 million to $25 million. He coordinated all subcontractors to ensure high-quality work was completed per code, on schedule, and within budget constraints.
