Biography

Dan Klatt is a Building Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industry, specializing in building envelope systems, roofing, and property damage assessments. Dan is a valued member of the consulting team at YA Group.

He provides accurate and efficient evaluations of building envelope performance and loss-related conditions as a certified Haag Commercial Roof Inspector. Before joining YA Group, Dan worked for a building consulting firm, several general contractors, roofing organizations, and in the agriculture industry. Throughout his career, he held key roles such as Project Superintendent and Project Manager, where he managed contract reviews, construction scheduling, and negotiations for commercial projects.

His field experience includes inspections, evaluations, quality control, estimating, crew management, and broader construction oversight across the South Central region and beyond. Dan has also served as an appraiser and expert witness on various property damage claims. He managed local, state, and federal construction projects requiring high-level security clearances and compliance with multi-jurisdictional requirements. His extensive and diverse background provides valuable insight when investigating and consulting on a wide range of building envelopes and property damage scenarios.
