Biography

Brianny Martinez is a civil engineer specializing in structures and construction. She is proficient at documenting damage investigations, building code upgrade requirements, and general document review/assessment.

During her tenure with an environmental and specialty civil engineering contractor, Brianny assisted in managing an eight-million-dollar project to expand the disinfection system at Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA). The scope encompassed site excavation/grading, the installation of underground utilities and mechanical systems, and the construction of a concrete structure to accommodate four sodium hypochlorite tanks. In this position, she solidified crucial engineering skills including document review (project specifications, contract drawings, change orders, submittals, RFIs, building codes, etc.), fieldwork planning, daily site inspections/documentation, drawings of as-built/future conditions on AutoCAD, and communication of engineering issues to several parties including the owner/client, subcontractors, and the design engineer. In addition to assisting on the disinfection improvements project, she was assigned as a project manager on a separate project involving the rehabilitation of ductile iron valves for IEUA’s recycled water system.
