Biography
Simon Zhang is a senior construction planning, scheduling, and delay analysis expert with extensive experience in forensic schedule analysis, project controls, and dispute resolution. Simon is a valued member at YA Group.
He supports clients throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, providing expertise in baseline schedule development, schedule updates, recovery planning, and claims support. He applies deep technical knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and industry‑recognized delay analysis methodologies, including time‑impact and windows‑based analyses.
Over his career, Simon has supported and led more than 100 projects ranging from $1 million to $3.5 billion across semiconductor manufacturing, commercial and residential development, pharmaceuticals, Department of Defense facilities, transportation, and heavy civil infrastructure. His work has directly supported owner negotiations, dispute resolution processes, and the substantiation of excusable and compensable delay entitlement.
Simon has also served as a trusted technical leader and trainer in Primavera P6 and Asta Powerproject. He developed scheduling standards, tools, and training programs used on complex, large‑scale capital programs and is frequently requested by repeat clients for mission‑critical assignments.
