Biography
Scott Roberts is a Senior Fire Consultant and Western Region Lead at YA Group with over 40 years of experience in the fire and explosion sector across both public and private arenas.
Scott specializes in all aspects of residential, commercial, wildland, marine, and vehicle fire origin and cause determination. He is knowledgeable in standard practices related to fire scene excavation, evidence collection, and proper chain of custody procedures. Scott has received extensive training in gas-, electric-, and incendiary-related fire investigation as well as hazardous materials awareness. He is skilled in identifying potentially hazardous sites and materials and taking appropriate action to ensure thorough and safe examinations.
Scott also supports insurance carriers and attorneys in claim subrogation recovery and provides expert testimony for cases originating in Alaska, Montana, and Washington. His public sector experience includes preparing criminal investigations for local and state cases, including courtroom and grand jury testimony.
