Biography
Phillip Grona is a Fire and Explosion Consultant with over 20 years of experience in origin and cause investigations. He is a valued member of the Fire Investigation team at YA Group.
Phillip has conducted thousands of investigations across residential, commercial, industrial, automotive, agricultural, marine, and equipment-related fire losses. He began his career as a technician with multiple origin and cause firms, working closely with electrical engineers. Through this collaboration, he gained extensive knowledge of investigative methods, testing techniques, and failure analysis.
Phillip has participated in hundreds of laboratory examinations, documenting fire-related failures and analyzing the events that led to ignition and loss. He also pursued advanced education to strengthen his expertise, earning a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and later completing a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health.
