Marc Johnson

Biography

Warren (Marc) Johnson is a Partner at YA Group, where he leads complex forensic accounting, investigative accounting, and litigation support engagements. A CPA and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Marc is responsible for overseeing financial analyses, directing forensic investigations, and providing expert insight on insurance and litigation matters. He has qualified and testified as an expert witness in Federal and State Courts and has authored numerous expert reports involving complex financial and insurance‑related disputes.
Marc has extensive experience in evaluating and quantifying economic damages related to property loss, business interruption, theft, fraud, and other financial claims. His work spans significant catastrophic events, including the World Trade Center catastrophe and major U.S. hurricane losses. He has been engaged by major property insurers, multinational carriers, law firms, corporations, and financial institutions to provide objective forensic assessments and expert evaluations.
Marc has worked across a wide range of industries, including energy, financial services, real estate, education, and natural resources. His experience includes fidelity and employee dishonesty matters, breach of contract disputes, product and excess liability issues, subrogation evaluations, fraud investigations, workers’ compensation income measurement, and self‑insured retention review. He has administered escrow fund accounts exceeding $1 billion for multinational insurers and conducted comprehensive liability claim file reviews. Marc has also served as an Appraiser and Umpire in disputed insurance matters and provided expert testimony for insurers and other parties. His background includes supporting counsel during Examinations Under Oath, Examinations Before Trial, Depositions, and interrogatories, as well as delivering seminars to domestic and international insurance carriers.
