Biography
Jesse Kendall is a Senior Consultant with over 27 years of experience in structural analysis, design, inspection, and forensic engineering across residential, commercial, and specialty structures. Jesse is a valued member of the YA Group team, where he applies his deep technical expertise to complex engineering challenges.
He specializes in concrete, steel, wood, and timber frame systems, with advanced proficiency in lateral force–resisting systems, including wind and seismic design under ASD and LRFD methodologies. Jesse has held senior and leadership roles such as Senior Project Engineer, Chief Structural Design Engineer, and Forensic Engineer, overseeing complex projects, managing structural departments, and providing expert witness testimony in superior court and arbitration.
Earlier in his career, Jesse worked extensively on high-end residential projects, hillside and oceanfront construction, retaining walls, steel moment frames, shear walls, foundations, and concrete repair. He brings a strong technical background in industry-standard software and has contributed to timber frame code development, professional education, and national industry conferences. Licensed in multiple states across the U.S., Jesse offers broad project support and regulatory expertise.
