Biography

Jeff Marsh is a Senior Managing Consultant at YA Group with extensive experience in electrical construction defects, electrical and mechanical failure analysis, electrical design‑build contracting, and automotive manufacturing environments. He is a valued member of the Engineering and Construction team, contributing technical expertise across a wide range of investigative and consulting assignments.

Jeff is recognized as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) by the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI). His background includes composing legal declarations for class‑action lawsuits, serving as an expert witness in civil court, and supporting insurance claim evaluations. His investigative experience spans construction defects, product failure analysis, electrical cost estimating, fire investigations, failure analysis for low‑ and medium‑voltage utility distribution systems, automated control systems, and electrical and mechanical equipment failures.

Throughout his career, Jeff used a variety of computerized analysis and CAD tools to document projects and designs, including AutoCAD, programmable logic controller (PLC) programming, visual lighting design software, and estimating platforms such as ConEst, Accubid, McCormick, and RS Means. He also managed product quality initiatives internationally, supporting manufacturability assessments for electronic components used by vehicle manufacturers. In addition, Jeff performed damage assessments and remediation consulting on national and international electrical infrastructures.
