Biography

Connor O’Regan is a Civil and Structural Forensic Engineer with over eight years of experience in civil and structural engineering design and construction, including five years specializing in forensic investigations. He is a valued member of the YA Group team, bringing a diverse background in heavy civil construction and residential/commercial building systems.

Connor has conducted more than 150 forensic investigations across Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Maine, and Vermont, as well as catastrophe (CAT) response assignments. His forensic work includes evaluating structural framing systems, roof systems, building envelopes, and foundations. He regularly performs structural condition assessments, determines the cause and origin of failures, and develops code-compliant repair and design recommendations for residential and commercial applications.

In addition to his forensic practice, Connor has led a construction loss control program, performed plan reviews, and conducted quality control site visits at projects nationwide. His work has included geotechnical report evaluations and on-site quality assurance inspections for high-rise and multi-family developments.

Earlier in his career, Connor served as a project engineer for a marine heavy civil general contractor, contributing to two high-profile marine infrastructure projects. His broad technical experience and practical construction background inform a comprehensive, detail-oriented approach to civil and structural forensic consulting.
