Biography

Anthony (Tony) Yurko is a Senior Managing Engineer at YA Group with extensive experience in mechanical engineering, forensic analysis, and consulting. He supports YA Group through large-loss evaluations and scope-of-damage assessments, leveraging his broad technical background to address complex mechanical failures and incident scenarios. He maintains licensure in 13 states and provides expert guidance and solutions across a wide range of engineering challenges.

Prior to joining YA Group, Tony designed, tested, and manufactured solid propellant rocket motors at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL). Following his work at ABL, he transitioned into consulting engineering with a focus on accident reconstruction and general mechanical engineering evaluations. As a HAAG‑certified engineer, he has supported numerous civil investigations stemming from catastrophic weather events and is also a certified fire investigator, contributing detailed technical analysis in post‑incident environments.

Tony has been deposed numerous times and has provided expert testimony in court on accident reconstruction matters and other engineering issues. His industry experience spans mechanical systems, forensic failure analysis, and investigative engineering, supported by specialized training and professional certifications. Tony can provide expert investigative, litigation, and resolution support across a wide range of engineering challenges.
